In symbolic terms, a bolt of lightning represents a sudden and unexpected descent of Divine power and light that can activate a major spiritual re-birth. This is certainly what happeded to me, it even inspired my last collection of clothes, ‘Space gypsies from the lightning realms.’ It is also said to be a jolt from the soul when an individual has strayed too far from their own centre. As such, it can be interpreted as destructive as well as constructive… Historically, it was always associated with a regious experience, for example in the Book of Enoch, (Bible) where it records Enoch receiving the secrets of lightning (enlightenment) in a vision. Moreover, the Hindu Gods, Vishnu and Indra revealed thenselves physically in the form of a bolt of lightning, and both the Nors God, Thor, and the South Amecican God, Tupan, were said to be the Gods of thunder and lightning.
